Education: the process of receiving or giving systematic instruction, especially at a school or university.

Education is the process of facilitating learning, or the acquisition of knowledge, skills, values, morals, beliefs, and habits. Educational methods include teaching, training, storytelling, discussion and directed research. … The methodology of teaching is called pedagogy.

Education is defined as the process of gaining knowledge. An example of education is attending college and studying. … Computer education includes computer systems and information systems. Contrast with training.

Well these are definitions given by the learned.
I as a teacher for 33 years understand education akin to parenting without pampering. My statement is based on my teaching career and what we have been practicing at Mysore Institute of Commerce and Arts, since it’s inception in 2012.

Now one may wonder why is this being discussed… Because EDUCATION is on a haul. It’s suits everyone except the teachers and the pupils. And if some have forgotten their education, the participants and the process…. when the rapport or affinity amongst them is removed Education becomes as bland as saltless food.

The affinity and rapport not just between the teachers and the pupil but also amongst the classmates, seniors, juniors, non teaching staff and all other stake holders involved in making the Education institutions a place to grow up in and learn from. A college apart from building has facilities for children to mould themselves…sports arena, library, garden, trees, bio Science labs, Tinkering place, conversation rooms ,activity area and the list goes on.

Would an education system, bereft of these, mould a child or a teenager to a Society fit, culture fit, profession fit individual?

Screens are impersonal and passive unlike real time teachers.
